MINT5pace: Our Space, Your Vision

An opportunity designed for artists and curators to bring their visions to life in a museum exhibition space.

In an effort to activate all available space at the Mint Museum, we are open to submissions from the public to create installations and curatorial projects in our MINT5pace. This space is used as a platform for artists and curators to gain perspective and knowledge by actualizing and installing an exhibition in a museum setting.

MINT5pace is located on Level 5 of Mint Museum Uptown.

On View through August 27, 2023

Muicle: Materials taxonomies in Abya Yala

“I have a deep commitment to White Magic and its potential for a contemporary art practice that is very much engaged with community, care and empathy. We may be in a world of Magic, in which “self” and “everything else” is the same thing. Therefore, White Magic is a realization system that, among other things, allows us to renew bonds within ourselves and everything else.” -Araceli Gómez Castro

Uncover the beauty of Araceli Gómez Castro’s exploration of the spiritual and natural elements of color through ancestral techniques and a majestic monochromatic approach in “Muicle: Materials taxonomies in Abya Yala,” on view at Mint Museum Uptown in our MINT5PACE located on Level 5 through August 27. Curated by Marta Gualda.

Previous Installation: February 1-26, 2023
