Join us for a panel discussion beginning at 7 PM that explores the importance of researching the history of an object’s ownership, also known as provenance research, in shaping ethical and informed collecting practices. Panelists include:
• Lisa Homann, PhD, professor of African Art at UNC Charlotte
• Kunter Kula, director of Fine Art at Doyle
• B.E. Noel, President, Noel Art Liaison Inc.
• Eric Shiner, president of Powerhouse Arts, board chair of the Romare Bearden Foundation, and former director of the Andy Warhol Museum.
The conversation will be moderated by Jen Sudul Edwards, chief curator and curator of Contemporary Art at The Mint Museum. Cash bar opens at 6 PM, panel discussion begins at 7 PM. Enjoy free museum admission to explore all the galleries 5–9 PM.
