Mint Museum Uptown

Join Southern/Modern Curator and Senior Curator of American Art Jonathan Stuhlman, PhD, in conversation with recently retired Georgia Museum of Art Director William Underwood Eiland, PhD, who will discuss the importance of the exhibition, the artists included, and how it came to be.

The Mint Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.


Land and Labor Acknowledgement

The Mint Museum sits on colonized land traditionally home to Catawba, Cheraw, Sugaree, Waxhaw, and other Indigenous peoples who resided, met, and traded here. The Mint also acknowledges the unpaid and hidden labor of enslaved peoples of African ancestry who helped build the Mint Museum at Randolph Rd at various stages in the building's history.
