Members-Only Tour of Portals to the Past

Members enjoy an in-depth tour of select pieces from the Mint’s exhibition, Portals to the Past, which features eighteen-century British works of art, led by Mint Museum docents. These works are part of the Mint permanent collection and presents more than 200 objects that are interpreted through a variety of thematic lenses—function, style, manufacturing technique, and maker—to encourage visitors to engage with the objects in ways they find personally meaningful and interesting. This exhibition includes many objects from the Mint’s holdings in other media, including paintings, furniture, fashion, and silver.
