The 4th Annual Lavagem Celebration is April 10th-13th in Charlotte, NC! This festival hosts 4 days of dance workshops featuring Symbologies of the Òrìxà dances & Silvestre Technique with Rosangela Silvestre, Dança Afro with Nildinha Fonseca of the Folkloric Ballet of Bahia, dances of the Indigenous Caboclos with Mestre Zé Ricardo, and capoeira with Mestre Jelon and Mestre Alegria.
This year, we are honoring our elders including Iyálorixa Mainha da Bahia, Badaro of Viver Brasil and celebrating 50 years of Capoeira with Mestre Jelon!!
