Feel the rhythm and reverberations of the drumming and learn more about African and Brazilian dance and culture with guest instructors from Brazil, along with Portuguese translators, at the opening and closing finale of the Lavagem African Brazilian Festival.
Lavagem African Brazilian Festival is presented by the UNC-Charlotte Department of Dance in partnership with the Mint. Associate Professor of Dance and Director of Undergraduate Studies Tamara Williams annually invites guest instructors from Brazil to instruct over 100 students and Charlotte cultural dance leaders and participants.
