The Mint Museum welcomes you and the next generation of museum-goers to find yourself at the Mint. We want you to look at, talk about, and make art.
You are invited to connect with the collection, share ideas, and explore your creative potential. Additionally, we want to share with you the power of the creative process to help relax, reflect, and recharge.
NexGen empowers young adults ages 14-18 to create and cultivate artistic experiences in response to The Mint Museum’s engaging collection and exciting special exhibitions. The program responds to focus group NexGen’s expressed desire to be part of the museum and learn more about art, museum careers, and the creative process from inspiring artists.
Initial funding to make NexGen Mint possible was provided by The Jimmie Johnson Foundation, Wells Fargo, IBM and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Fostering the
Next Generation
To help foster the next generation of art appreciators, we are offering FREE access to both Mint Museum locations for you and a friend, exclusive opportunities to interact with local and international artists and designers, and parking compensation at Mint Museum Uptown.
Starting in the fall of 2021, we will be offering NexGen members a chance to earn Community Service Hours by assisting the Learning and Engagement team in sorting and packing art materials for free art kits. These art kits will later be distributed throughout the community.
