Lurelle Guild (American, 1898 - 1985)

Lurelle Guild was a member of America’s first generation of industrial designers who emerged in the late 1920s. From lipstick containers and lighting fixtures to electric appliances and locomotives, Guild is credited for creating thousands of products. The Electrolux Model 30 is considered his popular design. Employing a sleek, modern aesthetic, Guild transformed this banal utilitarian object into a classic icon of 20th century design.
