The Mint’s Decorative Arts collection highlights the universal human connections woven into the creation of beautiful objects across cultures.

Our Decorative Arts collection holds over 12,500 objects and includes fine furniture, silver, and glass. These artifacts can mirror objects from our own homes, reminding us of personal memories, special occasions, and daily routines. The true highlight of the collection lies in ceramics. We boast significant collections of English and continental European wares, American pottery, and Asian porcelain. Notably, we are home to the nation’s largest public collection of North Carolina ceramics.
