The Mint Museum Library

With over 30,000 books, exhibition catalogues, current and historic art and design periodicals and auction catalogs plus vertical files on over 8,000 artists, our library is an extraordinary free art resource available to all individuals interested in arts.
The Mint Museum Library is a nationally recognized for its strong focus on decorative arts, craft and design. The library also contains a growing number of references that reflect the permanent art collection.
While the Mint Museum library’s primary users are the staff of the museum, the collection is available for onsite use by the public. The library houses current and historical volumes including:
-Books and Exhibition catalogues
-Rare titles from the 17th through the 21st centuries
-Journal and magazine titles
-Auction catalogues
-Artist files of small format ephemera and clippings

Online Search
To find whether the museum has a particular title, search the Mint Art Research Catalog Online (MARCO). Additional online resources include Mint Wiki – the library’s online resource for exhibitions at The Mint Museum and multiple online databases for research in art and fashion available on site in the J.A. Jones Reference Library.
