Desperately Seeking Fashion with Sandy Schreier
Wednesday, November 11, 2015 6:00 p.m., UPTOWN
Charlotte fashionistas should not miss the lecture, "Desperately Seeking Fashion," by fashion collector Sandy Schreier on November 11th. Sandy is a living legend, and has amassed an outstanding collection of (primarily) French and American fashions from the late 19th century to contemporary. Objects from her collection have been included in many exhibitions at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and several Paris museums. She has written several books and is often seen with celebrity pals such as Bette Midler and Isaac Mizrahi. Her expertise includes the Moschino brand, so we are pleased to pair her talk with spotlight tours of the VIVA MOSCHINO! exhibition. Sandy Schreier’s collection has over 15,000 pieces and is considered by leading museum curators to be the broadest and most extensive private collection of couture.
