Mel Chin is a powerful emerging conceptual artist of the 21st century. Chin’s most recent piece, SEA to SEE, was commissioned by The Mint Museum for the special exhibition The Panama Canal at 100 and shares the haunting harmony of human impact on the natural life on the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

Please note:  Teens attending the Mel Chin Roundtable program are also welcome to attend the artist's public talk on Sunday, February 1,  3:00-4:00 p.m. Teens are asked to come to  Roundtable event with basic background on the featured artist's work and should plan to interact with the artist, ask questions, and engage in the discussion. Teens are also encouraged to participate in a small feedback activity at the end of the event.

Any registered teen may bring one guest of any age to Mel Chin's talk from 3:00-4:00pm, free of charge. A parent/friend  bringing a student registered for a Roundtable event will receive admission to the Museum but Roundtables are limited to teen participants.  The Roundtable program is free and parking vouchers will be available for Roundtable participants.
