He has written extensively on English 18th-century portraiture and curated exhibitions at The Queen’s Galleries in Edinburgh and London, most recently The First Georgians, devoted to the reigns of George I and George II and planned to celebrate the tercentenary of the arrival of the Hanoverian dynasty in 1714. Learn more about his connections to the famous portraits of Queen Charlotte and King George in the Mint’s own permanent collection.
