Airmen and Adversity (1998) is the story of the “Tuskegee Airmen,” African Americans who enlisted in the Air Force during World War II.  Veterans on camera relate their struggle to become an integral part of the Air Force.  A segregated unity, they were assigned to escort bombers piloted by whites; in 200 missions they never lost a bomber.
