SUMMARY:The Vault: Historically Black College and University Greek Night
DESCRIPTION:In celebration of The Vault exhibition on view at Mint Museum Uptown\, we invite you to join all colleges and vocational programs\, (state\, private\, others) as their students and alumni celebrate their schools\, mascots\, professions\, roots\, and traditions\, featuring the artworks by Artist-Educators Bryan Wilson and Stacy Utley. There will be three discussions in the exhibition space: \n6:30 PM \n7:15 PM \n8 PM \nGuests are encouraged to wear their school colors and paraphernalia.  A cash beverage bar will be available. \nHistorically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) were created in the late 1800s to help educate Native and African Americans post the American Civil War. Within that academic culture have grown thematic colors\, fields of study\, Greek fraternities and sororities\, rivalries\, and sister schools which creates cultures within a culture.
