As the oldest art museum in North Carolina, and the art museum with one of the largest collections in the Southeast, The Mint Museum offers its visitors inspiring and transformative experiences through art from around the world via innovative collections, ground-breaking exhibitions, riveting educational programs, and profound scholarship. The Mint Museum is a non-profit, visual arts institution comprised of two dynamic Facilities: Mint Museum Uptown and Mint Museum Randolph.

Mint Museum Uptown at Levine Center for the Arts must close its doors to the public from July 9 through approximately August 17, 2018. The closure is necessary to refinish the building’s heavily-visited hardwood floors for the first time since the building opened to the public in 2010. The Mint Museum Uptown Shop and Halcyon restaurant will remain open through July 25, with anticipated re-opening August 1. During this interval, please plan your visit to Mint Museum Randolph, where the acclaimed exhibition  The Glamour and Romance of Oscar de la Renta will be on view through August 19! During the Uptown closure, Mint members are eligible for free general admission to the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art and Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture  (not yet a member? Click above or go to ). Additionally, Mint members will receive a 10 percent discount in the Bechtler Shop! Some dates may be subject to change, and the Mint will use this website, our eblasts, and social media to keep the public informed throughout the project. | Read more
