The Mint Museum Auxiliary

Organized in 1956, the Auxiliary supports the Mint Museum’s acquisition and educational efforts in our community. The Auxiliary has added hundreds of works to the Mint Museum’s collections since its inception. The Auxiliary sponsors extensive educational programs for Mecklenburg County school children. The Auxiliary raises money through its annual fundraisers, the spring home tour Room to Bloom Celebration and the fall Mint to Be Yours tag sale. Auxiliary members participate in fundraisers and committees that benefit the Museum. Active and Associate Auxiliary members are required sell two tickets to tour the homes during the Room to Bloom Celebration. Active and Associate members may sponsor or co-sponsor candidates who show an interest in the Museum and a willingness to participate in programs and projects that benefit the Museum.
