Melvin L. Owens (American, 1917 - 2003)
Melvin Lee Owens learned to turn pottery from his father, James Henry Owen. When Melvin took over his fathers shop, he changed its name to M.L. Owens Pottery, adding an s to the family name. Five of Melvins children became potters.
