Judith Duff has been a studio potter in Brevard since 1991, but has studied the art of ceramics throughout the United States and especially Japan. This bottle is an example of Judith’s work in the Japanese Shigaraki style, characterized in part by the vessel’s granular surface and the natural ash glaze deposited in the firing process.
