The Lantern

Romare H. Bearden (American, 1911 - 1988)

In 1976, Bearden visited Charlotte and considered the trip as an Odyssean voyage of re-discovery. After that journey he created a series of prints about his anecdotal memories of Mecklenburg County. The Lantern was one from this series.
