Cornucopia Quilt

circa 1830

(, - present)

Averaging 15 stitches per inch, this Cornucopia Quilt is also an exquisite example of white work quilting. At the center is the cornucopia, filled with flowers, leaves, grapes, vines, and tendrils. The backing is a looser weave white cotton resulting in simpler stuffing and cording.
