Ken Sedberry received his Master of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and then accepted a two-year residency at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana. In the early 1980s, Sedberry moved his family to Western North Carolina, where he designed and built his studio and wood-fired kiln.
