Charles Lisk (American, 1952 - present)

After graduating from Appalachian State University, Charlie Lisk worked for Pinehurst Pottery in Moore County before moving to Vale, where he met Burlon Craig. Influenced by Craig, Lisk began to fire with a wood kiln, adopted ash glazes, and began to make swirlware.
