Four-Handled Storage Jar
George K. Ellington (American, 1954 - present)
Kim Ellington was a studio potter when he met Burlon Craig and discovered traditional North Carolina pottery. Since 1987, he has been carrying on the Catawba Valley tradition that he learned from Craig, using local clay, mixing his own ash glazes, and firing his wares in a wood-fired groundhog kiln that he designed and built himself.
