Chelsea porcelain factory (London, England, circa 1745 - 1769)
The naturalistically depicted flowers on this mug were inspired by a style known as deutsche Blumen
(German flowers), similarly naturalistic floral decoration that the Meissen factory in Germany used to
decorate its porcelain from the early 1740s.
