The Mint Museums (the Mint Museum of Art and the Mint Museum of Craft + Design) are committed to protecting your privacy during your visit to this website. The Mint Museums do not collect personal information about individuals, such as names and mailing or email addresses, unless the individual knowingly provides it.
The Mint Museums’ Policy on Information Collection and Disclosure
Personal information collected for membership purchases and renewals, program registrations, electronic newsletters and mailings, or general inquiries is compiled only to perform the intended service. Some requests for information may ask about your background, occupation, demographics or areas of interest. This information is used to help understand the audience, which in turn allows The Mint Museums to better meet the needs and interests of its visitors. The Mint Museums will not sell, trade or rent the personal information you provide. We may compile and provide aggregate statistics about our visitors, customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to third parties, but these statistics will not include any personally identifying information.
Children Age 12 and Younger
The Mint Museums will not solicit personal information from children. Visitors age 12 and younger are required to obtain an adult’s permission before submitting any personal information to this website.
Revisions to the Privacy Policy
The Mint Museums may revise its privacy policy at any time. Revisions may be required in response to changes in law, policy or other factors. Website visitors are encouraged to periodically visit this page to review the most current policy.
Visitation Policies
Photography & Video: We ask that visitors not take any kind of photography in the galleries. Copyright issues and other regulations prevent us from being able to grant permission.
Food & Beverages: Food, beverages, and chewing gum are not allowed in the galleries.
Care of Artwork: Special care must be taken to preserve the artwork and maintain the presentation of each exhibition. Visitors are not allowed to touch the artwork or display cases, stand or sit on platforms, or get too close to the art. As you move throughout the galleries please be careful not to damage walls or platforms with strollers, wheelchairs and walkers.
Cell Phones: In the interest of maintaining a pleasant environment for all of our guests, visitors are asked to place cell phones on silent mode or turn them off while in the galleries. If an important phone call is received, please leave the galleries to have your conversation.
Pets: No pets will be allowed in the building, with the exception of guide dogs.
Shirt and Shoes: Visitors are required to wear a shirt and shoes at all times while in the building.
Dangerous Weapons: There are no firearms or dangerous weapons of any kind permitted on the premises.
Tobacco: Smoking is prohibited inside the building. The use of smokeless tobacco is also prohibited while in the galleries.
Inappropriate Conduct: At no time will individuals engage in any activity that is dangerous to other visitors, staff or artwork.
Children: Children ages 12 and under are to be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times while inside the museum.
Failure to Comply: If anyone refuses to comply with the established policies, that person will be asked to leave the museum. If the individual refuses to leave the museum, the police will be called and that person will be charged with trespassing.
