| O'Neill is an Irish artist from Spiddal in Galway. The Dutch woodturner Maria van Kesteren has been a major influence on his work. The organization of American woodturners led O'Neill to found the Irish Woodturner's Guild. One of O'Neill's pieces in the Mason Collection, QE II Series, was crafted from the same log as a bowl given to Queen Elizabeth by the President of Ireland in May, 1993. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
