Directions:

From Interstate 77 Northbound:
Take exit 9B to I-277 John Belk Fwy. Then take exit 2A, Third and Fourth St. exit. Veer right when the exit splits in two. Drive straight through the light it will become Charlottetowne Ave. Turn right in approximately half a mile onto Fourth St. At the next block Fourth St. will change names to Randolph Rd. The Mint Museum of Art is approximately one mile on the right.

From Interstate 77 Southbound and Interstate 85:
From I-85 take exit 39 to I-77 south. Then take exit 9B to I-277 the John Belk Fwy. Then take exit 2A, Third and Fourth St. exit. Veer right when the exit splits in two. Drive straight through the light it will become Charlottetowne Ave. Turn right in approximately half a mile onto Fourth St. At the next block Fourth St. will change names to Randolph Rd. The Mint Museum of Art is approximately one mile on the right. 

Directions to the Mint Museum of Craft + Design from the Mint Museum of Art:
Exit the Mint Museum of Art parking lot and turn left on Randolph Rd. After approximately one mile, Randolph Road changes name to Fourth St. Follow Fourth St. toward downtown and turn right on McDowell St. Turn left on Sixth St, cross Troyn St. and immediately turn left into the Dunhill Hotel parking garage. The Dunhill offers 90 minutes of free parking, regular rates apply after 90 minutes.The Mint Museum of Craft + Design is across the street from the Dunhill Hotel.

OR

From McDowell St. turn left on Seventh St. Turn left into the Seventh Street Station parking deck. Seventh Street Station offers 90 minutes of free parking. Exit the deck on foot on the Sixth Street side and turn right to walk two blocks toward North Tryon St., away from the light rail tracks. Turn left on North Tryon St. The Mint Museum of Craft + Design is on the left between Fifth and Sixth Streets.

For Drop off at the Mint Museum of Craft + Design:
Take exit 9B, I-277 the John Belk Fwy. Then take exit 2A, the Third and Fourth St. exit. Veer right, at the bottom of the hill turn left at the light, this will be Kenilworth Ave. it will change names to Stonewall St. in one block. Directions to the Mint Museum of Art from the Mint Museum of Craft + Design:

From the Dunhill parking garage turn left and take a right on Poplar St. then the next right onto Seventh St. and follow it out of downtown. Continue for approximately two miles and Seventh St. will cross over Charlottetowne Ave. Continue two blocks and turn right on Hawthorne Ln. Follow Hawthorne Ln. past Presbyterian Hospital, which is on the left. Turn left on Fourth St. At the next block Fourth St. will change names to Randolph Rd. Continue on Randolph Rd. The Mint Museum of Art is approximately one mile down the road on the right.

Bus Routes to The Mint Museum.

Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) offers convenient bus service to the museum from the airport, and from Center City Charlotte and the Mint Museum of Craft + Design to the Mint Museum of Art. Fares are $1.50 and require exact change. A transfer ticket is a available at no additional cost.

From The Charlotte Douglas International Airport to Center City

Take Route #5 bus from the airport to Center City Charlotte. Click here for the bus schedule from the airport to Center City Charlotte. Click here for the schedule from Center City Charlotte back to the airport. The Bus ends at the Charlotte Transportation Center on Fourth Street. From the transportation center turn toward the city center on foot until you reach Tryon Street. Turn right and continue two blocks. The museum entrance is on the right. Underneath the vertical blue banner on the outside of the building.

From Center City to the Mint Museum of Art

Take Route #15 bus from the Charlotte Transportation Center. Pull the cord after passing Colville Rd. or Dotger Ave. The bus lets off its passengers just before the museum entrance. When leaving the museum cross Randolph Rd. to the bus stop under the tree in front of the medical center. A return schedule is available here.
