Linda Foard Roberts has exhibited her work internationally from Australia to Guatemala, and throughout the United States. She began her love of photography with large format cameras at the age of fifteen. She currently uses 8" x 10", 5" x 7" and 4" x 5" cameras and prefers the imperfections of old lenses. She received a Master in Fine Arts from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor in Fine Arts from Virginia Intermont College. She lives and works in Weddington, North Carolina with her husband and two of their children, Nicole and George. Born in Stoke-on-Trent, England, Mark is the son and grandson of directors of Spode, the fine china manufacturers. He apprenticed with Michael Cardew at Wenford Bridge Pottery in England and with Todd Piker in Connecticut. He also studied pottery in West Africa, Korea, and Japan. Since 1983, he has been working in Pittsboro, North Carolina, where he built a large wood kiln and began making the distinctive functional pots, including the present example, for which he is renowned, both within the state and beyond.

Robert Lazzarini is an internationally-acclaimed contemporary artist whose work has been featured in more than a dozen solo exhibitions across the globe (including at The Mint Museum in 2006) and can be found in the collections of venerable institutions including The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Walker Art Center, and The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. This untitled print is from his latest series of work begun as a resident at the McColl Center for Art and Innovation in Charlotte, where he explored ways to translate his mind-bending three-dimensional manipulations of everyday objects into two dimensions.

This group of three striking images is from a series of prints developed from original, hand cut collages, in an edition of 25. They are archival inkjet on Somerset Velvet paper. Anne Lemanski studied at Michigan State University and the Studio Art Center international in Florence, Italy. A former Penland School of Crafts resident artist, her work is in private collections throughout the United States as well as in the permanent collection of the Asheville Art Museum and in the US Art in embassies program, Karachi, India. She was a 2010-2011 North Carolina Arts Council grant recipient, and was nominated for a Tiffany award. Best known for her dramatic and detailed hand sewn constructions of animals, especially birds, this new body of work was created during her recent residency at the McColl Center, Spring 2015.

One of North Carolina’s favorite and most celebrated contemporary sculptors, Bob Trotman’s distinguished career has taken him from creating innovating furniture to thought-provoking sculpture.
