By preserving family history, future generations have a record of where they came from. Personal archives tell the story not only of the family, but also of the community. Family treasures have the potential to become national treasures; but often, family treasures are not protected or preserved from the decay of time. Kat Oosterhuis, Mint Museum Archivist, will talk about a holistic approach to preserving your family history, and offer some easy suggestions for protecting personal archives.
