Inspired by Hashio Kiyoshi’s “Morning Sea” silk embroidery screen from the exhibition Inventing the Modern World: Decorative Arts at the World's Fairs, 1851-1939, participants will use the sewing machine to create thread paintings with artist Martha Matthews, who has exhibited nationally. Advanced level. For experienced sewers and fiber artists who can supply their own portable sewing machines and tools.
There is an option for teachers to get 1 hour renewal credit for master class workshops.
