This second annual philanthropic ‘give-back’ event showcases local youth and young adult talent in music, dance, performing and visual arts with a reception and visit from a cultural Santa. Valaida Fullwood, author of Giving Back: A Tribute to Generations of African American Philanthropists, will share the impact of her book since it debuted one year ago.
All books and toys received will be donated to the Metro School and Ranson Middle School for their special-needs students.
Sponsored by the Romare Bearden Society’s Artcentrics group (young professionals and art enthusiasts); On Q Productions; New African American Philanthropists; and Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated.
RSVP/Pre-registration required to communityrelationsrsvp@mintmuseum.org. Guests pay at the door and donate books/toys at the event. The Mint Museum Shop will have for sale children’s books/items that can be donated.
