American Quilt Classics and MMC+D Closes
Saturday, February 6 is the last day to see American Quilt Classics, 1800-1980: The Bresler Collection and other beautiful works of Contemporary Craft before the Mint Museum of Craft + Design temporarily closes. The Mint Museum of Craft + Design will reopen at its new location on South Tryon Street in October 2010.

Explore the prolific work of Loïs Mailou Jones in the exhibition A Life in Vibrant Color. Analyze stylistic changes over a 75-year career, with her mastery of color and technique. Model and materials provided. Designed for intermediate and advanced students.

Class emphasizes developing concepts to help students find a personal style in creative expression. Materials provided. For students ages 13-17 or by portfolio review.

Mini-Masters Adult/Child Workshop: African Kuba Cloths
Wednesday, February 24, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. at Mint Museum Randolph

Explore shape and pattern in dramatic African textiles and use fun and simple printmaking techniques to print your own patterned creations. For young artists ages 3-5 and their grown-up companions.
