Danny Lane Installs Threshold

American glass artist Danny Lane and his team from England spent the past week installing his monumental glass sculpture, Threshold, in the entrance of the Mint Museum of Craft + Design galleries in the new Mint Museum Uptown, opening October 1. Threshold is part of the Project Ten Ten Ten series of artwork commissioned especially for the new facility.

Monumental Painting Arrives at the Mint Museum Uptown
Staff from The Mint Museum and Bonsai Fine Arts began installing a monumental painting (18 1/2 x 37 feet) by contemporary artist Sam Francis in the Robert Haywood Morrison Atrium of the Mint Museum Uptown on August 17. The artwork, Untitled (1979), is on loan from Bank of America Art in our Communities program.
