Bearden Poster

Romare Bearden, Carolina Shout Poster

This print was reproduced from the original collage by renowned artist Romare Bearden who is known for his timely and poignant pieces centering around his experiences as an African American. Carolina Shout was one of the first Bearden Pieces to be owned by the Mint, which now houses the largest public collection of his works. Paper Size: 28 x 22" ; Image Size: 24 x 17"

Hassam Poster

Childe Hassam, Stone Cottage, Old Lyme Poster

One of the first American artists to absorb the French Impressionist aesthetics and apply these techniques to his native environment, Childe Hassam was one of the original members of the Ten American Painters group and went on to be known as a member of The Eight. This original oil painting of a wonderfully serene stone cottage in the New England countryside is in the Mint's permanent collection. Paper size: 24 x 30"; Image Size: 24 x 23"

Queen Charlotte Ornament


The ornament's design in brass was taken directly from the original oil painting of Queen Charlotte, from the permanent collection of the Mint Museum of Art. Made of die cut brass with punch-out detailing, the Queen Charlotte ornament measures 4" high by 2" wide. The ornament comes in its own gift box with an information sheet.

Crown

Crown Ornament

Adapted from the crown which decorates the frame of the coronation portrait of Queen Charlotte.  The monarch was 17 when she arrived in England from Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Germany to marry King George in 1761.

The city of Charlotte was named in her honor and is referred to as The Queen City, a crown symbolizes the city.

Made of die cut brass with punch-out detailing, the crown ornament measures 2" high by 2" wide. The ornament comes with an information sheet in a gift box.

Archangel Ornament

Archangel Barachiel Ornament

The design of this beautiful ornament was adapted from the emblem which appears on the tunic of a statue of the Archangel Barachiel in the Mint Museum of Art's Spanish Colonial collection.

Made of die cut brass with punch-out detailing, the Archangel Emblem ornament measures 3" high by 2" wide. The ornament comes in its own gift box with an information sheet.

Max Mint

Introduced in November of 1985, meet Max from who represents the Ancient American Collection.  He is the Mint's first piece of Mint reproduction jewelry.

The brooch measures 2" high by 1" wide and is made from brass with a silver-toned finish. The pin, which is vertically fastened to the back of the figure, features a c-ring clasp to hold it shut and is 1" long. The brooch has a ring on the back for wearing as a pendant.
