Queen Charlotte Ornament
Though not known as a great beauty, Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III of England was a well-known patron of the arts. Charlotte, named for this German born queen, takes great pride in her many likenesses around town.
The ornament's design in brass was taken directly from the original oil painting of Queen Charlotte, from the permanent collection of the Mint Museum of Art. Made of die cut brass with punch-out detailing, the Queen Charlotte ornament measures 4" high by 2" wide. The ornament comes in its own gift box with an information sheet.

Crown Ornament
This design is adapted from the imperial state crown Charlotte Sophia of Mecklenberg-Strelitz, consort of King George III of England at her coronation ceremony in 1761. Also known as St. Edward's crown. It is pictured in the original oil portrait of Queen Charlotte. The original painting of Queen Charlotte, by Allan Ramsey, is on view at the Mint Museum of Art.
The crown image was adopted by the city of Charlotte and is even visible on a street signs!
Made of die cut brass with punch-out detailing, the crown ornament measures 2" high by 2" wide. The ornament comes with an information sheet in a gift box.

Archangel Barachiel Ornament
The design of this beautiful ornament was adapted from the emblem which appears on the tunic of a statue of the Archangel Barachiel in the Mint Museum of Art's Spanish Colonial collection.

Max Mint
Introduced in November of 1985, meet Max from who represents the Ancient American Collection. He is the Mint's first piece of Mint reproduction jewelry.
The brooch measures 2" high by 1" wide and is made from brass with a silver-toned finish. The pin, which is vertically fastened to the back of the figure, features a c-ring clasp to hold it shut and is 1" long. The brooch has a ring on the back for wearing as a pendant.
