Romare Bearden, Carolina Shout Poster
This print was reproduced from the original collage by renowned artist Romare Bearden who is known for his timely and poignant pieces centering around his experiences as an African American. Childe Hassam, Stone Cottage, Old Lyme Poster
One of the first American artists to absorb the French Impressionist aesthetics and apply these techniques to his native environment, Childe Hassam was one of the original members of the Ten American Painters group and went on to be known as a member of The Eight. Crown Ornament
Adapted from the crown which decorates the frame of the coronation portrait of Queen Charlotte. The monarch was 17 when she arrived in England from Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Germany to marry King George in 1761.
The city of Charlotte was named in her honor and is referred to as The Queen City, a crown symbolizes the city.

Archangel Barachiel Ornament
The design of this beautiful ornament was adapted from the emblem which appears on the tunic of a statue of the Archangel Barachiel in the Mint Museum of Art's Spanish Colonial collection.

Max Mint
Introduced in November of 1985, meet Max from who represents the Ancient American Collection. He is the Mint's first piece of Mint reproduction jewelry.
The brooch measures 2" high by 1" wide and is made from brass with a silver-toned finish. The pin, which is vertically fastened to the back of the figure, features a c-ring clasp to hold it shut and is 1" long. The brooch has a ring on the back for wearing as a pendant.
