About The Exhibition

The artwork of area students shine in the STAR Galleries, our Student Artist Galleries. The Student Artist Galleries (STAR) at Mint Museum Randolph and Mint Museum Uptown showcase K-12 student artwork.

Mint staff plan and coordinate these exhibitions in partnership with local and regional public and private schools and homeschools. A thematic, technical or conceptual connection is often made with the Mint’s permanent collection and special exhibitions.

A STAR Gallery exhibition is an ideal way to promote appreciation and awareness of visual arts education programs, and the STAR Gallery hosts several annual shows, to include the Mid-Carolina Region Scholastic Silver Key award winners and student work from the Mint’s artists’ residencies in the schools.
