Our executive team consists of the decision-makers for the museum. This team is dedicated to charting the future of the museum, what we exhibit, and holding to our strategic goals as an institution.

The goal of Human Resources (HR) is to support the overall success of the organization by attracting, retaining, and developing a talented workforce, as well as creating and maintaining a positive work environment.  HR also plays a critical role in compliance with labor laws, employee benefits and compensation, and other HR-related tasks.  

This team sets and manages the financial and operational goals of the institution. With decades of experience in their fields, this team navigates applying our revenue toward making improvements to our facilities and exhibitions.

Every object in our gallery and special exhibitions receives the white glove treatment from the C&E team. This is the team responsible for bringing every exciting exhibition to life at The Mint. This team includes builders, painters, designers and registration professionals that navigate the rights of the objects displayed in gallery.

The advancement team manages our memberships, corporate relationships, fundraising and grants. They are fundamental to bringing in the funding to create the best programming in the region. They also throw a heck of a party.

Our curatorial team is made up of art scholars, each with decades of experience, they source, study, and select artwork and objects to be shown in our galleries. Our curators specialize in American Art, European Art, Contemporary Art, as well as Craft, Design and Fashion. This department also includes our Library, Archives and Resources.

Our Learning & Engagement team creates our beloved programming and education initiatives. Whether it’s inside the walls of our two museum locations, or out in the community, their goal is to keep the residents of our region — from toddlers to seniors — engaged in all things art and expression. The L&E team also conducts extensive audience evaluation and visitor research to make sure we are reaching our goals and the entire community at-large.

Our Marketing and Communications team is responsible for getting people through the doors of our two museum locations. Whether through digital or social media, print or out-of-home, experiential or traditional, our team reaches audiences, both novel and familiar, every single day.

Between our two locations there are countless spaces, vignettes and seating areas that can be activated for events. This team sells and manages these spaces, and makes sure the museum is on the leading edge of event space rentals in the region.

Each museum has a gift store that includes eclectic wares, books, fashion, craft and more. The Mint Museum Store is the highest visibility retail store in Uptown Charlotte. Mint Museum Randolph’s is nestled into the incredible original Mint building, nestled amongst the tree canopy of Eastover.

Guest services is more than just the happy faces that great our visitors everyday. They act as ambassadors to our guests, members, and patrons, while tracking visitor data and satisfaction.
